In Türkiye’s halal-friendly resort hotels, usually the ladies-only beach forms part of the women-only area, which also offers swimming pools and often includes spa facilities, a restaurant or café, children’s play area and a prayer room, all for the sole and exclusive use of women. They are usually “fully-secluded” which means that no one can see in from the outside. Some are shielded from an outside gaze by huge sails, or tarpaulins or other structures to ensure that once inside you are not seen by an outside eye, from anywhere in the hotel. All of the staff working in these women-only areas will be female and you will usually be asked to hand in your mobile phone at the entrance, to ensure there are no pictures taken.
